RICK DEREMO

In which series are you currently racing as a member of Team Toyo?
King Of The Hammers, XRRA Western series and New Mexico Out Law desert race .

Current Race Vehicle:
Jimmy’s 4x4 Stealth single seat chassis.

Birthday :
June 25

Hometown:
Dove Creek Colorado

When and how did you get into racing?
After 10 years of racing motocross I retired and took some time off. I’ve always enjoyed off-roading and decided to start rock crawling. In my first three years of crawling I finished in the top ten all three years, 10th, a 6th and a 5th place finish. In my third year of crawling a new series (XRRA) started with the best of both worlds rock crawling and rock racing all in one. I fell in love with the sport and became one of the top XRRA drivers in the US.

Most memorable moment in your career:
Having the most wins in my first two years in the XRRA.

If you could have anyone as your co-driver for just one race, who would you pick and why:
My spotter, Rick Gersch. He is one of the best spotters in the country. I believe we could place well in a long desert race. He and I are always evaluating the terrain and somehow we always come to the same conclusion. We have a big advantage over other teams in that we can read each other’s mind.

Person Most Admired in your life:
My dad. He has taught me life long values.

Hobbies Outside of Racing:
Just about any outdoors sports.

Favorite Daily Driver:
F 250 powerstroke.

Rick Deremo has excelled in XRRA.

Deremo depends on the Toyo Open Country M/Ts to win races.
