Drive-Axle Position

Closed shoulder drive tires are best suited for over the highway use in higher speed and longer haul operations using tandem axle configurations. Designed to resist irregular, the outer tread rib is not separated into individual tread blocks.
Open shoulder drive tires are best suited for regional operations with single axles and higher torque. With the outer tread rib separated into individual tread blocks, they can also be helpful in harsh weather conditions.
