Menzies and his #7 Red Bull / Toyo Tires / KMC Wheels AWD Mason Motorsports T1 Truck finished this year’s race with an official time of 5 hours, 38 minutes beating out the field of competition. He started in the pole position after qualifying first and never looked back, relying on championship-winning Toyo® Open Country M/T®-R tires to get him to the finish line with the fastest overall time.
The Toyo Tires Desert Challenge brought off-road truck racing to Southern California to showcase over 100 world class drivers competing for a prize pool of $100,000. Each driver must qualify to determine the starting order based on the fastest time regardless of their class uniquely pitting the various off-road vehicle classes against each other. For the third consecutive year, Bryce Menzies was the fastest qualifier overall.
“This is an incredible way to start off the 2021 off-road racing season for Toyo Tires. Bryce Menzies has been an amazing addition to Team Toyo and his consecutive victories speak volumes for his driving skill,” said Stan Chen, senior manager, events, sponsorships and motorsports, Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp. “Our Toyo Open Country M/T-R tires have consistently performed well in the harshest of terrain and conditions, providing the performance needed to finish on top of the podium.”
Menzies joined Team Toyo in January of 2019. His career includes championships in both desert and short course competition.
