Team Toyo’s Brandon Arthur Wins in Prod 1000 UTV and Pro Lite Classes During the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series Weekend in Missouri
WHEATLAND, MO – Team Toyo’s Brandon Arthur scored two victories during Round 8 of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series (LOORRS) this past weekend at the new off-road track at the Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, MO. Arthur first won the Prod 1000 UTV main event, and backed that up by winning the Pro Lite class main event. During both races, Arthur relied on off-the-shelf Toyo Open Country A/T II tires to deliver his wins.
The all-new 1.2-mile long, nine-turn Wheatland off-road track is the longest in the series and includes an over-and-under (bridge) section. It is composed of three types of dirt – heavy clay, top/black dirt, and silt. Conditions were hot and muggy for the inaugural race weekend, testing the endurance of the drivers.
During the Prod 1000 UTV main, Arthur defeated a large field of 23 race vehicles to capture first with his #906 MavTV/Toyo Tires/HRT/Motorsports/KMC Yamaha YXZ1000R. This represents his fourth win of the season in this class, putting him in a solid second place overall in the Prod 1000 UTV points championship.
With only a short rest between races, Arthur was back behind the wheel competing in the Pro Lite main event. He came into the main as the fast qualifier, and continued to show his dominance with a win in the 14-truck race while driving his #6 MAV TV / Toyo Tires Chevrolet truck. Arthur now sits in fourth overall in the 2017 Pro Lite class championship points.
“My Toyo tires had me hooked up, and led us to two first-place finishes for Sunday,” said Arthur. “I couldn’t ask for a better tire."
